If you’re interested in visiting the Wilmington Global Innovation Center, be sure to set up a visit with your business contact. You can find direct links to contact pages per business here.

If you already have a visit scheduled, before your arrival please:

  • Confirm the time of your visit with your host
  • Make sure your host has submitted a visitor pass
  • Have your host’s contact information, including their cell phone number, and a government issued ID for the Visitor Center

On arrival and checking in/out

If you’re a DuPont employee, show your badge at the Main Gate and proceed for parking.

For all other visitors, including non-DuPont employees and DuPont Employees without a logo on your badge, please make a right into the Main Gate Visitor Center. Park in any available spot and bring your government-issued photo ID into the Visitor Center for check-in. Please allow at least 15 minutes for the check-in process.

After you’ve received your visitor pass, return to your car and enter through the Main Gate Guard Station in the right lane.

When leaving, be sure to return your visitor pass to the guard at the Main Gate

Parking at WGIC

1.   Upon entry into the site through the Main Gate, drive straight ahead on Main Gate Road to the first stop sign. 

2.   At the intersection, take a left turn on to Old County Road. 

3.   You will travel on Old County Road briefly and then take the first left on to F Road. 

4.   From F Road, take the first right on to New Laboratory Road.

5.   Parking for WGIC is located on your left. There are a few parking spots for visitors to the Wilmington Global Innovation Center, but you are also welcome to park in any available spot. 

 

On-site guidelines

This is an active working, laboratory and scale-up campus. The following rules apply to every person on our campus and are strictly enforced.

Your employee badge or visitor pass must be visible on your person at all times
  • Absolutely no use of tobacco products on site or in parking lots. This includes but is not limited to cigarettes, spit or chewed tobacco, pipes, dissolvable tobacco products, snus/snuff, and e-cigarettes/vapes.
  • This is a tobacco-free campus. You must leave the campus completely in order to smoke.
Seatbelts are required while driving on site at all times. This applies to the driver and all passengers Drivers must comply with all posted traffic signs and rules, including speed limits, traffic signs, and traffic officers. Drivers must yield to all pedestrians
Helmets must be worn while riding motorcycles or bicycles on site. Cell phone use while driving is prohibited. This includes use of earbuds, Bluetooth, hands-free devices and speaker phone
Running is not allowed on site or in parking lots
Be cautious of active construction areas and follow additional signage
When using stairs, handrails must be held while ascending and descending

COVID PROCEDURES

  • Prior to admittance, you’ll be required to perform a self-assessment temperature screening and a three-question survey sent to you by your host. If you answer yes to any of the following questions, you must postpone your visit to the site.
  • Have you been diagnosed with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID 19?
  • In the last 72 hours, have you experienced any symptoms commonly associated with COVID 19, such as, for example, fever (temperature of 37.5C/99.5F or greater without use of medication), cough, or shortness of breath?
  • In the last 14 days, have you been in close physical contact (i.e. within 6 feet for at least 10min) with anyone that was diagnosed with COVID 19 (either a confirmed or suspected case of COVID 19)?
A 2-ply, layered mask is required at all times. No gaiters, scarves or mask with one-way value.

From I-95 North or South to the DuPont Experimental Station

1.  Take I-95 to Exit 8 – US-202 N/Concord Pike (stay in the middle lane to follow signs for DE 141 N/DE261 N/Foulk Rd N)

2.  Bear right on DE-141 N/DE-261 N/Foulk Rd N exit (stay in left lanes to follow to 141 S)

3.  Turn left at light onto DE-141 S/Foulk Rd

4.  Follow DE-141S for 2.3 mi (approx. 4 mins) to the 5th light

5.  Turn left @ the light (toward the DuPont Experimental Station Main Gate entrance)
